Ground Improvement

We’ve engineered a simple, affordable way to improve your ground to TC2 levels and prevent liquefaction during a future seismic event.
How it’s done

Ground Improvement consists of closely spaced MultiPole Uglie piles that reinforce in-situ soils against the seismic induced strains that trigger liquefaction.

We’ll use high frequency vibration to install the piles to a specified height above or below ground.

If you’re planning on having a TC2 concrete slab we’ll place compacted gravel on top of the piles. If it’s a timber floor you’d like we can install additional piles in-between ground improvement piles to receive bearers.

Benefits of this system

•  Installation time frame subject to the size of the poles and the quantity and ground conditions.

•  Can be designed for more than 300mm of lateral movement.

•  Non-damaging, non-disturbing installation.

•  Uses award-winning MultiPoles.

•  PS1, PS3 and PS4 provided.

Additional design options

If your site is likely to experience more than 300mm lateral movement in a future seismic event, extra rows of piles can be added on the side(s) of the building that are most susceptible.

If you need Deep Pile Foundations as well as Ground Improvement, we can install additional piles that reach an identified competent bearing layer.
